HYT is the official owner and operator of the Malaysia Halal Pavilion on JD Worldwide. The Malaysia Halal Pavilion aims to showcase authentic Malaysian brands to the China market. Malaysia enjoys a strong reputation for its halal products, which is seen as safer and of higher quality. The establishment of Malaysia Halal Pavilion is to bring together hundreds of local brands and introduce them to Chinese consumers, who can buy them easily through JD.com

From food & beverages, confectionery, fashion & apparel, cosmetics & skincare, bags & accessories, as well as baby and healthcare products, the Malaysia Halal Pavilion allows local brands to be easily found and purchased by China’s large segment of online consumers. Coupled with HYT’s strength in cross border solutions and e-commerce marketing, the digital transformation to export via B2C e-commerce is seamless, hassle-free and more cost-effective.

“To expand in big consumer markets, Malaysia has been positioning its exports as “premium products”, especially in the case of China”, said Hanisofian Alias, Malaysia’s Halal Industry Development Corp (HDC) vice-president. “From our experience together with our trade promotion agencies, the demand from China for food products is especially high. In an interview with some of our companies exporting to China, they said the sales growth is almost double digits every year”, said Alias.

As Chinese consumers’ standards of living and spending power grow, they tend to see imported products as a sort of premium that they would like to have, he added. Chinese consumers would like to see more options, more new products and more value-added products.

Malaysia Halal Pavilion is now accepting applications for local brands to be listed in the flagship store on JD.com. If you’re a Malaysian brand aiming to reach 788 million online users in China, start your cross border e-commerce journey with HYT today.
